What to consider before making your travel journey

Hello everyone hope you are all well and ready to plan plan and then plan some more for your holiday/long distance journey as in any case there is only so much you can actually plan but planning efficiently can leave you with extra time to do the little things like not forgetting to pack an extra pair of socks.

The point of taking a holiday is to relax and leave your worries behind without any stresses of the day to day world that we live amongst that mostly consists of work work work and no play so this is our play time in a sense but getting worked up because things don’t go to plan or in fact you don’t plan well ahead should be avoided as a bad mood can spoil things.

Sunny Holiday

Here a set of guidance points I put together to help you along with smooth running’s in planning and preparing for you holiday:

Decide upon and research your destination

Picking the correct destination for you and or your family is the most crucial part of your holiday with the amount of video travel sites and holiday reviews on the net you can get a pretty good picture of whether a destination is worth visiting and would suit your wants and needs. There are specific locations for specific sites and activities i would much reccommend you search by the activities you or your family would like to partake in and the types of sites and scenery you would be keen on seeing. Ask yourself do i want to do wind surfing or horse riding do i want sun and sand or north poll ice ? all will help you gather a better image of the things you want and make it easier to select a destination that most closely matches your requirements.

Set your budget and Sort your finances before you go on holiday

I cant count the amount of times i have been on holiday even with a set budget and spent over it just because i think well hey i’m on holiday lets live a little i have noticed though that having a budget in mind is still rather better than not having one but still over spending. Reason being that if you have no cap then you have no limit and being on holiday is a frame of mind that takes away limitations as you feel more free so does your wallet/cards/purse/cash yes im sure you have had the “oh what the heck! lets buy it” feeling :) .

Ok so we have a budget for the entire holiday now but what about home finances utility bills, CC bills if their all on a auto payment from you bank account then make sure you check there’s enough cash to cover them all whilst your away in fact leave extra in just in case you miss something the last thing you want is to return home to late payment letters or even worse, Charges.

Check out accommodation flight times tickets and pack well before hand

More often than not there will always be something that you will reconsider or forget to checkout or pack its important to take a steady pace and cover checking things of 1 day at a time for example take 1 hour of the first day to check out flight times then next day check out accommodation and so on pack using the same method to i could probably pack within two hours and be ready to go :).

Make sure you have the correct address for accommodation/ hotels and the tickets are all in order with the correct dates and times on them. All in all you should check and double check everything remember we want this to go as steady and smoothly as possible.

That was my main set of advices that i use myself when planning for and going on holiday i hope they are of use to you please leave a comment and tell me about any journeys you have taken recently or in the past that you can remember well :)
